The Ministry of Science and ICT has held the 'Challenge for ICT Start-up 2021' which provides start-up business opportunities for graduate students participating in the ICT talent development project. Under the theme of 'Challenges for Startups,' the event featured graduate students from 39 universities nationwide, who showcased their startup ideas using their research and development achievements. After a fierce three-month competition, 10 teams were ultimately awarded with prizes that could be used as business funds, along with certificates of recognition. The "Metown" team of graduate students from Yonsei University, including Lee Dohae and Jeon Sangbin, achieved an exceptional result by making it to the final round and eventually winning the second place, earning a prize of 7 million won along with the Minister of Science and ICT Award.
과학기술정보통신부가 ICT 분야 인재양성 사업에 참여하는 대학원생들을 대상으로 창업 기회를 제공하는 ‘ICT 챌린지 2021’을 개최하였다. ‘창업을 향한 도전’이라는 주제로 열린 해당 행사는 전국 39개 대학 ICT 석.박사급 인재양성사업에 참여 중인 대학원생들이 연구개발 성과물을 활용한 창업 아이디어를 선보였으며 약 3개월간의 치열한 선의의 경쟁을 통해 최종적으로 10개 팀에게 상장과 함께 사업화 자금 등으로 활용할 수 있는 상금이 수여되었다. 연세대학교 이도해, 전상빈 대학원생의 미타운 팀은 좋은 성적으로 최종 결선까지 올랐으며 끝내 2위를 차지하며 과학기술정보통신부 장관상과 함께 700만원이라는 부상을 거머쥐었다.
